1080p...2k...4K...what does it all mean...

So basically this tiny marvel is a 1080p native resolution projector but it can handle and downconvert 2k and 4K material too. What's the point you may ask? Well 4K material has a wider colour gamut and the H1will probably be able to use some of that info to produce a better image from a 4K source. The only thing I don't know is if it will handshake okay with HDCP 2.2 the 4K standard.

THE XGIMI H1 IN ACTION...

This video was one of the first ones I watched that made me sit up an take notice of this projector. It shows off it's tiny footprint and bright image. It's an LED DLP unit so you'll get 30,000 hours of life (use it 8 hours a day every day and it will last for over 10 years). No bulbs to replace. Videos like these make hard to gauge the true sound and picture quality but at 900 ANSI Lumens it should blow the other Pico projectors out of the water. I'm looking to finding out in December.

WANT A H1 AT 25% OFF THE RRP? BETTER HURRY!

Okay I'm only here to let you know what I think about the XGIMI H1. It might not be the right projector for you but it's worth a look. Anyhow this is still in crowdfunding stage and has about 25 days to go and still some units at 25% OFF the RRP. Miss this and it drops to 14%. So take a look at the specs and reviews and see for yourself. Use the link to the right if interested in backing this amazing looking projector.

This may not be the final user manual for the XGIMI H1 but if you are itching to find out a bit more info you can download this PDF.

IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT GETTING A PROJECTOR...THINK ABOUT THE XGIMI H1

I've just backed this on Indiegogo mainly because I've been looking for a decent but small form unit with vertical and horizontal keystoning allowing me to place the projector on a stand in the corner of room and get rid of the distortion. Also this projector has some other great features like Android OS, 1080p Native Resolution, Built in Harmon Kardon Surround Speakers, Zoom Control, Bluetooth, Mobile Phone Control, Remote with Gravity Sensor and Remote Focus Control. As you see it's jam packed with top end features that even some bigger brand projectors don't have. Add to this a 900 ANSI Lumens 300" image plus extreme portability and you have the perfect choice for you Home Theatre experience.

Now for the important bit, the cost. If you are like me and in the UK you are looking at about £750 shipped and including duty. As the Indiegogo campaign continues they are offering stretch goals too. At present you get a Free stand adapter and it's looking like you'll get 2 pairs of 3D glasses too. Oh yes, it's 3D capable too.

So I've put together this blog to keep anyone interested in the XGIMI H1 some information to help you decide if it's right for you.
